English Support

Many of our pupils do not have English as their mother-tongue and need extra support in their first months at the School.

We want them to integrate and participate in the life of the School quickly, so that they can get as much as they can out of their learning as early as possible.

Pupils joining the English Support Programme are typically withdrawn from class individually or in small groups to work with our specialist teacher.

Those reading on-going Support might be given extra help in mainstream classes or provided with special work to do as an alternative to regular class work.

The English Support Department is based in a well resourced centre.
